Dr. Lally specializes in cataract surgery as well as comprehensive eyecare. He sees patients in the downtown Charleston and Walterboro offices.

He graduated from Dartmouth College and received his Masters of Science degree at Georgetown University. Upon completing medical school and residency at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, Dr. Lally did a fellowship in cornea and cataract surgery at the Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital. He is Division Chief of Ophthalmology at Roper Hospital in Charleston and serves as Chairman of the Board of the Colleton Ambulatory surgery Center in Walterboro. He is also Clinical Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC). He is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.

Dr. Lally has served as the President of both the South Carolina Society of Ophthalmology and the Charleston Ophthalmological Society. He has been the recipient of numerous honors, including the Pierre Gautier Jenkins Award for resident education at MUSC. He has been recognized by Castle Connelly as a Top Doctor. He has lectured worldwide on the topics of cataracts, the cornea, and ocular external disease.
